The New Man

Just yesterday, I posted about the great stars who fell victim to drugs and/or AIDS. But today I’m feeling more optimistic. Let’s give tribute to the new breed, the new man.

Bisex is the new gay. Today’s boys don’t really give a shit if they’re with a dude or a girl, and that’s just fine by me. Long ago I was in an oyster bar at the beach and a very sexy man was hanging out with his buds. One of them made a reference to ‘queers’, but this guy was so cool, he laughed it off. In front of his peers. “Hell, I’d sleep with a dude,” he said. That took balls back then, believe me. Had I not been with someone, I really think I would’ve chased that sailor down.

Sexual mental health is on the rise. Men have options today and they’re happy to explore them. And I think, too, that emotional and romantic health will follow in the path. The fewer restrictions, the more openings in a man’s life.
