August 23rd, 2007I’m really curious - how many of you hate music in porn as much as I do? In the early days it was pretty fucking bad, I grant you - thumping disco or actual songs played, often chosen to provide…uh…ironic counterpoint to the action. That’s done with, thank God, but the music plays on.
It sucks. It’s unnatural and hurts the sex. C’mon, now. When you fuck and suck, do you make sure to have a soundtrack going in the background? When you hook up in a gas station bathroom, do you stop to ask the attendant to pump in a few tunes? I didn’t think so. Be it the ’70’s or today, all I want to hear when I watch porn is the raw, ordinary, natural sounds of grunting and heavy breathing. Music to my ears.

I agree with you 100%! That’s why I like this movement towards more raw and natural sex. I want to hear and see all the sounds and sights without crappy music getting in the way. I also am not of fan of too much acting in my porn. I want my porn straight up. If the model in the movie is naturally talented then there is no need for small talk, unless it comes naturally (no pun intended!).

Generally speaking I don’t like music in my porn videos. The only exception I made was in some of Enrique’s early work. I especially liked the way he used some reggae inspired music under the love scenes between Tiger Tyson and the kid who played the brother of his girlfriend. The music allowed the natural sounds of the sex to come through and heightened the drama in the scene. I love dirty talk–especially from the bottom– talking the top in to harder and dirtier sex, letting him know exactly what he wants and how he wants it. And then, watching the top deliver–oh yeah, that is hot!!!
